Prayer and Mindful Meditation

Joy for the Journey through Prayer and Meditation
“Sometimes we need to make more time to meditate and mindfully look within. Sometimes we need more time to connect to our Higher Source and our higher feelings. Outer Sources can inspire us and motivate us and encourage us on our journey; but sometimes what we need is time to look within for happiness and joy as we seek to hear the inner voice of our soul.

We all have Intentions and Expectations of what we hope to create, or build in our lives. Sometimes we become so focused on the destination that we lose sight of the journey. Sometimes we mistakenly focus too intently on the negatives, fears, worries, and possibly conflicting feelings. Sometimes we even think too much about what other people think, want or feel. Sometimes we fail to allow ourselves private time to “Be Still” and meditate.
We know that in order to get from point A to point B we must accomplish certain tasks and overcome certain problems. Sometimes our path is not easy, but a climb. There are people in our lives that would gladly spend every minute of the day with us, but realistically sometimes we need more time to ourselves so we can meditate and be mindful of what we wish to create.
In order to be more giving and loving to others sometimes we need to give to ourselves. We need to allow ourselves the time to nourish our Spirits, so we can be more useful to others in our world. Sometimes we unfairly criticize ourselves because we need more time to study, read, meditate, and take in our lessons; and learn from our experiences. Sometimes we fail to recognize that we need more Quite, Mindful, Meditation Time for our personal spiritual growth.

Other people stimulate our Spiritual and personal growth we can benefit tremendously by so many outside resources. We can be so blessed by fellowshipping with other people with similar goals and we can gather strength from the fellowship, but we also can gather strength in Quite, reflective moments when we just allow ourselves to meditate, practice self-acceptance and find serenity within. Part of nourishing our Spiritual Growth is going within to pray, and meditate.
